Travis Kilgore

Senior Investment Banking Analyst, Xnergy Financial LLC

Travis Kilgore is the Senior Financial Analyst at Xnergy Financial LLC and a CFA Level II. Travis plays a vital role in performing due diligence for Xnergy's various investment opportunities in addition to helping companies raise capital and pursue merger and acquisitions. His analytical skill set centers around security analysis and firm valuation, corporate finance, financial reporting, as well as economics. Travis lived in Beijing from 2007-2009 where he studied Mandarin and taught English at various primary schools. He now speaks Mandarin at an advanced level and is actively helping Xnergy to expand their pool of investors to incorporate more individuals and firms from China.

Prior to joining Xnergy Financial, he was an analyst at Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management. At Merrill, he worked directly with a senior financial advisor to gather new assets, monitor client portfolio performance and rebalancing, as well as maintain market data for two equity strategies used by the firm. Travis was also responsible for analyzing and integrating the new American Funds Portfolio Series fund class and pricing structure into client portfolios. Lastly, he worked with a partner Bank of America wealth management banker to help implement a mortgage refinancing campaign that helped clients save thousands in mortgage payments.

Travis holds a Master of Financial Economics and a Master of Geography, both obtained from Ohio University. While at Ohio University, Travis was granted the 2012 CFA Level I student scholarship.

During his time in academia, Travis's primary research lay in Economic Geography and focused on the spatial distribution and interconnectivity of the global economy. As an economic geographer he was particularly interested in trade networks, labor markets and economic development in China. Travis wrote and published a thesis "Familiar Places in Global Spaces: Networking and Place-making of American English Teachers in Sanlitun, Beijing."
